My Minds Eye Thank You Card

So much to be thankful for this year - and especially lately.  I have been leading a huge project at work for a client that has consumed the lives of multiple people for 10+ hours a day for many weeks.  As it draws to a close, I cannot be appreciative enough of my awesome team who have made it all possible.  This is one of many thank you cards I owe them!

The papers are all My Minds Eye from their Nostalgia collection.  I think they're all B-sides but I often find myself using B sides so much more often.  In the case of this collection, I just love the soft blues and subtle patterns.  The button is also MME from Lost & Found collection.  The twine on the button and the ribbon are from MME's Holly Jolly decorative trim collection - the blue ribbon in the set is one of my favorites - so delicate in color and texture!  And I can;t leave Verve out for the sweet little Thank You stamp!

Olympic Thanks

I have a few more cards to post over the next few days to FINALLY finish off the multiple orders I received from a charity card sale.  I seriously under-priced them and never expected the response I received.  Thank you to all my customers and thank you for supporting Special Olympics!

And what better way to say Thank You than with a card and in keeping with the charity, I used the Olympic Rings (a shout-out to S J Crafts for inspiring me).  It is a very simple but fun card.  Not only did it work as a thank you to the SO supports but also for the ultimate receipient - my in-laws in the UK who are enjoying the excitement of being host country and are thankfully far enough away from London so as not to get caught up in the chaos of London transportaiton (questionable on a normal day....).

Teacher Appreciation

As we get ready for the last day of school, I am working on teacher appreciation cards.  This first one is a clean and simple design based on a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches # 36 and uses two shades of blue for the Dynamic Duos May #4 Challenge.

Simple Elegance - Blue-White Card

This has always been one of my favorite cards - simple but elegant.  The matt was textured with Fiskars texture plates (I have alsways liked the "grass" texture and have yet to find a folder similar so resort to the hand embossing).  The ribbon has a slight texture to it that doesn;t overpower it - again, simple elgance.  And while it doesn;t show well in the image, it is nearly an exact match to the back-most matt done using paper from the DCWV Shimmer stack.  The die cut is from an SVG file.

Will enter this to the Moxie Fab World Cure for the Winter Blues challenge.
