Christmas in April

Spring is in bloom and I'm making Christmas cards!  Why not?  I have been joining a number of card challenges lately and I admit to now being a bit over-run with Thank You, Birthday, and Just Because cards.  So, I decided why not get a start on Christmas cards?  My daughter has suggested I make some Halloween cards next - we'll see :-)  I should probably at least finish my Easter cards first!

The design is based on a sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge # 235 and will also be used for Throwback Thursday over at My Creative Time (the great sentiment is from one of their stamp sets).  The faux stitching I did around the scalloped matt is perfect for this week's DYSU challenge of Sew It!

    Well isn't this card just so PRETTY! Loving the papers and the cord! I couldn't agree with you more about the Art Philosphy cartridge! I also like the idea you are starting early with making Christmas cards! Way to go! Thanks for joining us over at MCT ~ Throwback Thursday!

    Hi Lisa, Fran here from the cissyandfranshow, thank you for joining the blog hop. We are neighbors in the Dallas area, are you going to the SITS bootcamp in September? Do you ever go to Stamping Asylum in Plano? Which scrapbook store do you like to go to locally?
    This card is really a textural beauty, I love all the designs in it, very well thought out and executed. Don't you just love blogs and all the fun things you see and the fun people you meet along the way

      Fran - apologies for the delayed response... Hey neighbor! I have heard of Stamping Asylum but haven't gotten down there yet. I am unoriginal (or just lazy) and tend to stick to the big box shops - especially Hobby Lobby (and Michaels' dollar bin is always my downfall...) I am going to the Great American Scrapbook convention in Arlington May 31 and probably the stamping show in Grapevine mid-July. I will look up SITS.

      I do indeed love blogs. If only I could quit my job and just blog hop all day!

    Love the embossed banner - it really makes the sentiment pop! Beautiful colors as well. I hope that you are enjoying the fun during our Christmas in July festivities at Unscripted Sketches. Thanks for sharing your card with us :)
